A cavewoman fancy dress costume is always popular with men and women.

It’s easy to achieve and can look very attractive if done properly. Fancy dress hire costumes will always have plenty of ideas to choose from, and you can also buy costumes if they are cheap enough and you think you will get your money’s worth.

Everyone’s idea of a cavewoman outfit is slightly different but if you think animal prints and furs you won’t go far wrong. Even if you can’t find an exact cavewoman fancy dress costume you should be able to put something together yourself.

First of all think about the vest you will be wearing.

It should be made from animal print fabric, so you can either use an existing shirt or you can buy some cheap fabric to cut up. If you have an animal print t-shirt already you’re in luck; you won’t need to make many adjustments apart from possibly tearing open the neck to give it a ragged appearance. If you need to make a vest from scratch it is very easy to run a simple tube shape up on your sewing machine and then attach a couple of straps.

You will then need your “fur” which again should be available in many outlets.  You can buy some cheap brown fleece to make into a skirt and matching top. The top can just be some fleece thrown around your shoulders and held together with a pin.

For leg wear you can put on your existing boots and wrap some left over fleece around them to give a fur-like appearance to your legs.  Have fun and experiment with your cavewoman fancy dress costume.
